No refrigerator, the room was really loud, television doesn't have any movie friendly gadgets for international channels or netflix. And also they don't offer free drinking water. It was just a constructive criticism i hope it helps.

While there was nothing really really wrong, the standard was shabbier than expected. Decor was old a bit dirty and bed was hard. Good location and quiet but I expected more and felt the photos were not representative.

Price & Place

Obviously, this place offers one big advantage, and that is the unbeatable price. So if you just want to have a cheap place to sleep and prioritize your money on other things than hotel staff or room windows, this place could be a good choice for you (as it was for us). Much to our surprise, the central location was also perfect to explore Tainan. Note for foreign travellers: The booking process is not such an issue as other guests have commented on this site. If you have a smartphone with a local number and a credit card you won't have any issues. Communication is in English and all you need is the Line app. Easy peasy.

Most of the drawbacks result from the bathroom. It was not in good shape and had a strong and lasting smell. Overall, cleaning should be improved. Bed was pritty stiff, too.

Worst stay and very inconvenient to pay unless bank transfer/wrong contact info on booking

Nothing.

This was the most inconvenient 'holiday' that we have ever experienced. After booking, you will find out that you cannot pay through Booking, but you must submit payment through a 3rd party link that is sent from LINE. Their line ID @wininn is INCORRECT and you will not be able to connect with them by calling their phone number. Upon arrival, we added the line by QR code and had to wait 1 hour in the hot gross lobby of claw machines to get into our room long after check-in. This place sucks and we will not be back. Downvote.

Great value for the price. I was happily surprised with my room. Very clean, complete with a nice view and perfectly located in the center of Tainan. Would recommend Color Home! :)

Quite good. Less well-maintained, but great experience nonetheless.

Location is great, a highly-rated dumpling place right across the main entrance and a wonderful shaved-ice dessert place was very near by. We met the maintenance guy, a very down-to-earth, authentic Tainan person - he was friendly and informative. Breakfast was decent - black tea and sandwich. Overall the decor and experience are worth the price.

Shower was a bit tricky - temperature was hard to control, water pressure could be stronger, faucet looked old (but not dirty). Also, as the entire hotel is self-service, there aren't official hotel staff to help you. All questions/problems are directed through LINE customer service, which was a bit slow (took average of 10 mins to reply).
